Worship for Sunday 17 May

At 11:00 (Central European Summer Time) on Sunday, 17 May, the Eucharist for the sixth Sunday of Easter will be celebrated at Santa Margarita. While the church remains closed as the result of precautionary measures relating to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), only two people will be present, the priest (Paul) and the assistant (Kate).

This Sunday, we are pleased to be able to host a ‘virtual visit’ by our new Archdeacon, Revd. David Waller.

You are invited to share in this worship by following the words (congregational parts in bold), sharing the hymns and prayers, and listening to the sermon. The presentation works as a video file, so you may control it (forward, back, pause) using the video controls. The service lasts about 47 minutes.

After the service, you are invited to join David for a ‘live’ virtual coffee hour, from 11:50 CEST, to which you can connect via Zoom by clicking the button below.

The cost of maintaining the chaplaincy of Santa Margarita is completely self-financed locally, and during the closure of the church, there is no income from the weekly collection. Thank you Paul for another comforting and uplifting service. Thanks also to Margaret for the reading, Malcolm for the Intercessions and the Archdeacon for the sermon. Yes, we need to be reminded occasionally, of all the Christian sacrifices made for us all. As Malcolm said the nurses, doctors carers, police, shop assistant and many more taking care of us all during the frightening pandemic. We also give thanks to our savior Jesus Christ who paid the ultimate price, his life that we sinners may be saved.Amen.
    Blessings,
    Sheena Yallop
