It has been a beautiful and very warm autumn – sunbathing at the end of October would you believe! Temperatures have now dropped to more seasonable norms.
Our October Lunch at Sushi Es Castell was an enjoyable occasion although we were sadly reduced numbers as a result of some last minute cancellations due to ill health.
For the remainder of the year and into 2023 events are :
NOVEMBER
Friday 11 November at 11am – Service of Remembrance on the Isla del Rey. All are welcome.
Best transport option is to book the Hauser & Wirth boat to the island from the port in Mahon leaving at 10am. The return cost is 7€
Sunday 13 November – the traditional Service of Remembrance will take place in church at 11am. Do invite family and friends.
Those who wish to have Holy Communion may come at 9am.
DECEMBER
Sunday 18 December at 6pm. The annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols will be held in church followed by mulled wine and mince pies after the service. This is a lovely occasion to invite friends and family as we look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus.
JANUARY
There are no social events planned at present although it is hoped we can have a small get together in the New Year – if not lunch then perhaps a coffee and catch up one morning. Watch this space!
GOLF TOURNAMENT 2023. It is likely that this will be held in September next year. Details will be announced as soon as possible. Remember friends, visitors and neighbours are more than welcome to join this fundraising event.
**************************
Make a note in your diary of dates and join us if you can. More information from me or from the Rev. Paul.
We hope to continue with regular get togethers throughout the New Year although in the winter months it will depend on what restaurants are open.
VENUE RECOMMENDATIONS ALWAYS WELCOME PLEASE !
As an alternative to lunch, if anyone is willing to open their home for a few drinks and simple tapas or coffee and cakes or afternoon tea that would be very welcome. Please let Carole know
Many thanks
